MY CREED…SIMPLIFIED: I believe in God the Father, Jesus Christ His Son and in the Holy Spirit. I believe the beauty of this full embodiment of life, death and resurrection as an unfair exchange for my life is what drives me to love his ways and trust his direction.
INTERSECTED MOMENTS: I believe we make a difference in the intersected moments of life. In everyday, practical ways, we can either welcome life-altering opportunities with resistance or surrender. And I believe no gesture of reasonable service is ever discounted when offered up as an act of obedience to God (Romans 12:1, 2). I believe in making every moment count, whether in prayer, in one-on-one, by accident or on purpose.
GO: I believe in the call of Christ, in being an ambassador for the One who sends us out to spread the Good News to all people. Commissioned to live out an awesome message in word, action and deed, I accept this amazing assignment (Matthew 28:19, 20). The messenger is an extension of the message. My role is to plug in wherever he leads.
THE GOOD, THE BAD & THE UGLY: I truly believe that “in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28). I value this great distinction in him. He makes himself available to all and gives everyone the choice to accept his gracious invitation. With that acceptance comes the knowledge that the Creator of the universe works on our behalf. He offers His presence in pain, his perspective to our pity parties and his perfect peace to our less-than perfect pace. I am not exempt to hardships, but I am never alone to face them.
SOLE TRUST: I believe as my feet tread uncertain territory, my heart leans emphatically on an absolute truth. I can trust God with my limited understanding and value his revealed insight in every circumstance as I acknowledge him alone in all things ((Proverbs 3:5, 6).
